Craft American Hardware, Inc.

Craft American Hardware is the kind of neighborhood hardware store every community hopes to have. Walking in feels like stepping back to a time when businesses truly knew their customers. Every time I’ve been there, they’ve had exactly what I needed—and usually more options than I expected. Best of all, the staff is exceptional. They don’t just point toward an aisle; they’ll walk you to the exact product, explain the differences, answer your questions, and make sure you leave with the right solution. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind. There’s a culture here that feels light, like joyful neighbors helping neighbors. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcome, remembered, and appreciated. I also love that I can support a local business without having to fight traffic or wander through a massive fluorescent warehouse store. If you live in Wilmington or near Wrightsville Beach, this is the first hardware store I’d recommend. Great selection, outstanding service, and a team that truly cares, helps, and has fun doing it.

Outdated and small, low slecection of quailty tools at an uncompetive price. Great for a local homeowner or Diy guy (maybe specialized parts for water craft) for small parts, if im sharing my expeience honestly just go get what you need from Ace or Home depot, lowes, I would even say Walmart had a more competive tool selection. To eachs own, I just personally wont be spending my money here.

It is easy to always go to HD and Lowe’s, but I have learned from my own experience, Craft American Hardware is better, much more personable, and they often have things the big stores don’t. I am not talking about kitchen interiors or appliances, but anything and everything that can be classified as HW, garden and patio, outdoor cooking, pool supplies you name it. I always come here. The staff is friendly, more knowledgeable and very helpful. Quick in-quick out, and I always leave with a smile. Lars

First time stop by this store in years living here in Wilmington. It's basically Ace Hardware store, they have everything, gentleman was very helpful and help me to find everything what I needed !!! Please do not rely on the ladies who work at the front just as a cashier... that's it.... Due to this pandemic it does not matter what health condition you are!!! you have to have mask!!! just like everywhere you go!! if you cannot wear masks you can always do a curbside pickup, or send someone else !! This is not a store falt!! They didn't set a pandemic guidelines!! Complain to our governor ! not a store!!
